Marketplace Analytics specifically focuses on tracking marketplace performance and trends for firms' strategic business partners, allowing them to meet consumer demand more efficiently. They are part of the greater Supply Chain Integration Solutions business unit whose mission is to leverage information, technology, and advanced analytics to drive performance of retail, distribution, and manufacturing organizations in large, complex supply chains. Ultimately, the work produced by Marketplace Analytics enables firms' clients to make fact-based supply chain decisions and by doing so, improve visibility and maximize profitability.
Job Overview:
This is an in-house permanent position.
The Senior Analyst of Analytic Development will act as a technical development resource, testing/validation resource, and a support resource for existing reporting applications. The individual will work with the various Marketplace Analytics groups, the Business Intelligence team in IT, various external clients, and in supporting new business development. The role requires a strong knowledge of SAS.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing technical support on current reporting related to the Marketing Analysis and Operations Analytics groups
• Developing department-level processes particularly those in support of new clients and projects
• Technical and user acceptance testing support for existing applications
• Developing new reporting capabilities using a wide range of tools including: SAS Microsoft Office, web based technologies, and others
• Continuing to improve the automation of existing processes
• Supporting and enhancing current reporting routines including:
 SAS code on UNIX and Windows XP operating systems
 Basic UNIX scripting
• Performing timely ad hoc analyses
Knowledge and Skills:
• 5- 7+ years experience working "hands on" with data, preferably in a marketing environment…somethin
• Base SAS
• SAS Macro (intermediate to advanced)
• Basic knowledge of data warehousing and relational database design concepts
• Basic SQL
• Desired skills: Consulting experience, UNIX scripting, VBA, Advanced SAS ODS, Data warehouse ETL
• Bachelors degree with multi-year experience working "hands on" with data required; MA/MS/MBA preferred
